Naruto is back in a brand new series of adventures and this time the Number One Ninja maybe older, but that does not necessarily mean he is any stronger, wiser or more mature!

The highly anticipated continuation of the original Naruto animated TV series, Naruto Shippuden comes to DVD as a two disc set featuring the first 13 episodes of the series' 32-episode first season.

Naruto Uzumaki's one goal in life has always been to become the greatest ninja of all. His progress to date has been admirable, but with ever increasing danger looming in the form of the mysterious Akatsuki organization, Naruto is aware that he needs to up his game even further. His determination to improve his skills results in him leaving his village to pursue further training that will push him to his absolute limits.

Two-and-a-half years later, Naruto returns home to discover that everyone's been promoted up the ninja ranks - everyone except him. Sakura's now a medic ninja and Gaara's advanced to Kazekage. But pride isn't becoming of a ninja, especially when Naruto realizes that his good friend Sasuke never returned from his search for the snake-like shinobi, Orochimaru.

Meanwhile, the mysterious Akatsuki organization is still an ever-present danger. As Naruto learns more about the organization's goals, he realizes that nothing in his universe is as it seems.

Adapted from the best-selling manga created by Masashi Kishimoto, the animated Naruto has rapidly developed into an international phenomenon. Firmly establishing itself as one of the most popular anime series in North America and Japan, Naruto has been described as the "ninja Harry Potter for the Pokemon generation".

Naruto Shippuden Box Set 1 (cert. tbc) will be released on DVD (24.99) by Manga Entertainment on 14th June 2010. Special Features include English and Japanese (with English subtitles) audio option, production art gallery and trailers.

Homecoming; The Akatsuki Makes Its Move; The Results Of Training; Jinchuriki Of The Sand; The Kazekage Stands Tall; Mission Cleared; Run, Kankuro; Team Kakashi, Deployed; The Jinchuriki's Tears; Sealing Jutsu: Nine Phantom Dragons; The Medical Ninja's Student; The Retired Granny's Determination; A Meeting With Destiny.
