Puella Magi Madoka Magica Complete Series Collection Blu-ray now available for pre-order in the UK

The good folks at Manga Entertainment UK have announced on Twitter that Puella Magi Madoka Magica is now available to pre-order on Play.com. The complete Blu-ray collection is listed at a pre-order price of £29.99. This set contains the the whole series of the highly anticipated magical girl show. It's due for release on Monday 29th October 2012. Note that the Play.com listing does not show the final box art.

The UK region B blu-ray complete collection retails for significantly less than the US edition. In the US Aniplex released the series on blu-ray across 3 volumes. Assuming you're after the regular edition of the blu-ray, without all the collectors stuff, the the cheapest we could find each volume was $40 (USD). So to get the whole series from the US it would cost $120, which is about £77, so that's a saving of £47 for UK anime fans who can wait until October!
Also don't forget you can get the region B blu-ray from Australia, again each volume is currently sold separately. Hunting around the whole series comes to about $104 (AUD), which is about £68. So it's £38 cheaper than the Aussie edition. It just goes to show, that it can be worth waiting for the UK release than going for an imported edition.
