Seven Seas License Dragon Half Manga

Date: 2017 January 13th Friday [18:04] | Posted By: Joe

It seems that Christmas has come early for some manga fans as publisher Seven Seas Entertainment have just announced that they'll be releasing Dragon Half as a manga omnibus from December 2017.

Certain anime fans will be aware of the much loved crazy title that follows the adventures of half human half dragon Mink, who has fallen for male idol and dragon slayer Dick Saucer (yes, that is his name). The 1993 two episode OVA was mad cap to say the least for many it was an early introduction into how crazy anime can be. That and how you can reinterpret Beethoven's Symohony Number 7 and the joy of omelettes (you really need to watch the anime to appreciate this). Yum! Tamago! *ahem*

Even if you haven't seen the anime If you love Japanese RPGs, you'll want to get a hold of this title.

(LOS ANGELES, January 13, 2017) – Seven Seas Entertainment is excited to announce the license acquisition of Ryusuke Mita's Dragon Half-the slap-stick, fantasy adventure featuring the love struck, demon-hunting dragon-girl Mink who won the hearts of early North American fandom in the side-splitting OVA series!

To solve this conundrum, Mink and her friends must set out on a playful quest to destroy the Demon Lord Azetodeth and gain a potion that will make Mink completely human! Will Mink's love finally be requited or is this doomed to be a fetch quest failure?

"Dragon Half is one of those series that's near and dear to my nostalgic otaku heart and a title I've long wanted to see get an official English print release," says Seven Seas Editor-in-Chief Adam Arnold. "Mink was a lot of fan's first monster girl, but so few actually know her full story. I think it's time we changed that, and these omnibus are the perfect way to do that."
