Full Story
Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex Volume 3

There are three extraordinary animation films that have each broken new ground and pushed the anime genre into the mainstream worldwide. They are Akira (cyberpunk thriller), Ninja Scroll (samurai thriller and Ghost In The Shell (sci-fi thriller). Ask anyone what their favourite anime titles is and the answer you can expect many of them to say is Ghost In The Shell, one of the most critically acclaimed and highly popular anime films of all time.

Manga Entertainment is excited to announce the DVD release of the highly anticipated new anime TV series Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex. The series was co-produced by both Manga and Bandai and created by the revered animators at Japan’s Production I.G (Kill Bill, Ghost In The Shell), directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Blood: The Last Vampire, Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade) with music by Yoko Kanno (Cowboy Bebop). GITS:SAC Volume 1 was released on September 13th and featured the first four, thirty minute episodes of the explosive twenty-six episode sci-fi series. The complete series is being released bi-monthly over the year and presented on seven DVD volumes, five consisting of four episodes and two containing three episodes.

This all-new futuristic anime series continues the story of the acclaimed anime feature film Ghost In the Shell, which was based on the popular manga by revered Japanese comic book artist Masamune Shirow. Female cyborg Major Motoko Kusanagi and her fellow police officers of section 9 hunt down a host of criminals in both the real and online worlds. Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex utilizes the latest in full CG animation presenting illustrious characters and meticulous design along with dramatic animated action.
