Galaxy Express 999

ANN are reporting that speciality video label, S'More Entertainment has acquired the licences for Galaxy Express 999 and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.

Galaxy Express 999 ran on Japanese TV from 1979-1981 and was directed by famed director Rintaro and was created in manga form by manga-ka Leiji Matsumoto. While Crunchyroll, Hulu and Funimation have at one point streamed or are currently streaming the series online, there has never been a DVD release until now. Discoek Media has already released the first and second Galaxy Express films on DVD in North America.

In addition, S'More has also licensed the TV series Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo for release on DVD. The first set, containing the first 38 subbed and dubbed episodes will be released on March 27th of this year.

No release date for Galaxy Express 999 has been set, at this time.
