Otaku News Postcard Campaign

When we launched Otaku News, we needed to let people know about the site. I could have bought some banner ad space on one of the top anime internet sites or done an insanely crazy publicity stunt, but that would mean beating it every time we wanted to publicise the site. So instead I decided to do something a bit more practical. I commissioned artist Andes Sudo, who has written a colouring guide on Anime Digital before, to draw an eye catching character for a postcard campaign. Sudo decided to draw the character you can see below.
Sudo named her Tima.
For those who are curious, there is a deliberate Engrish style mistake on the back of the postcard. When I first launched Anime Digital I put a similar Engrish error in the footer of the page to see if anyone would point it out. To this day only one person has highlighted this error and he was looking at the site with me at the time!
