Grave of the Fireflies live action

Grave of the Fireflies is to made into a live action film, after previously being made into a NTV TV film and the classic Ghibli anime. Filming will begin next month for a Summer 2008 release.

Whilst Grave of the Fireflies is no doubt a moving work, it has to be wondered if there's any point to making it again. Especially since the animated version is so well regarded.
