The Message on the Dark Horse Boards reads as follows:
Attention manga fans! Dark Horse Comics needs YOU!
We are looking for someone who will be attending Comic-Con International in San Diego this year (July 22-25) that would be willing to sit in our booth for several hours and draw/write kanji characters for fans.
We will only need your services for one day but we will pay you $150 for your time and give you a four-day exhibitor badge*! The exhibitor badge allows you to get into the hall before everyone else and allows you to stay later at the convention. Dark Horse will require you to dress and act professionally while in our booth (even though it's only for a few hours).
If this sounds like something you'd like to do, please send scanned samples (72dpi jpgs) of your kanji writing (as well as your name, mailing address, contact e-mail address and age) to:
kanji@darkhorse.com
A committee of Dark Horse employees will review all submissions and one lucky person will join us in San Diego! We'll contact whomever we choose by July 1, 2004. Please, no phone fax or e-mail inquiries as to the status of your submission. We will contact you if we're interested.
* Dark Horse will not be responsible for your travel expenses, lodging or other expenses incurred while at the convention.
