Ghibli to Open Training Centre in Japan

According to Variety, Ghibli is teaming up with the car makers Toyota to open up an animation training studio. The studio will be placed inside of Toyota's research and development centre in Aichi, western Japan.

Strange combination of companies, it seems! - "Ghibli producer and former prexy Toshio Suzuki came up with the idea for the unusual collaboration after visiting Toyota's headquarters in 2006."
