What better icon for recycling than a Gundam model made from the plastic runners left out of Gundam model kits?

Japanese blogger hirotyun1000 has posted up a day-to-day diary on building his "Rannagandamu" (Runnergundam). Some of the runners were even donated by generous readers.

The recycling icon is currently on show at the Hobby Japan 2010 event happening this weekend
