Independent artist Lisa Alisa is collaborating with innovative clothing brand EGOIST for a Kickstarter project featuring her incredible designs on exceptional apparel.

EGOIST is aiming to produce a line of the world’s first "wearable art" that not only looks stunning but that is also 100% water and windproof! Durable and deftly designed, it’ll be an exciting collection if they manage to reach their target of $17,000 by November 1.

Lisa Alisa’s work is highly original and yet curiously evocative of Ukiyo-e art. The images she creates are powerful , their content blurring the lines between beauty ,horror and humour, and like traditional Japanese artists, she draws her greatest inspiration from nature.

The range features designs such as Tigers in Peony, and Flight 322. The elaborate decorative motifs are reminiscent of the themes that decorate kimonos and yakuza tattoos.

Using special printing techniques and textiles the project promises to create works that are as stylish and vibrant as Lisa Alisa's original works and will retain all of her razor sharp lines and kaleidoscope colours.
