After being asked about the 2014 film Giovanni No Shima (Giovanni's Island) one of the UK Anime labels, Anime Limited, dropped a hint that they had acquired the licence for the film. No release dates or format platforms were mentioned.

The synopsis from Wikipedia: "The story follows two brothers, Junpei and Kanta, who live on the island of Shikotan, shortly after the World War II."
