Celebrate ten years in print with NEO magazine issue 130, on sale now!
November 6, 2014 (Bournemouth, UK)
NEO magazine celebrates ten years in print with the launch of issue 130, on sale now! The UK's premiere anime, manga and Asian movie magazine launched in 2004, and has since become an indispensable guide to cult Asian pop culture both in its home territories and beyond. The publication is now a regular, essential read for fans of anime and manga, containing expert commentary on everything from blockbusting Japanese movies, to sell-out J-pop acts, huge gaming franchises, and ground-breaking animation.
Featured inside this issue is a guide to NEO's decade in the anime industry, written by Andrew Osmond (author of Satoshi Kon: The Illusionist, 100 Animated Feature Films, and Spirited Away: BFI Film Classics), with contributions from industry leaders, critics and experts. Illustrating NEO's essential role in developing the anime scene in the United Kingdom, the feature charts the journey of the publication, from a new comer to the scene to a linchpin of the otaku community, taking in the major releases and events of the past ten years.
Also inside NEO 130 is information about the magazine's epic 28 day giveaway, an extravaganza where NEO readers have a chance to win a prize every day of the issue's on sale date, between 30 October to 26 November. We have everything from DVDs, Blu-rays, games and T-shirts up for grabs, to reward loyal fans for their ten years of support.
NEO also continues its regular offering of anime coverage, with Tokyo ESP, Black Butler: Book of Circus, Attack on Titan, Blood Lad, The Devil is a Part-Timer and more. Also, expect reviews of Godzilla, Kite and The Grandmaster, as well as our usual mix of cosplay, manga tutorials, news, previews and more.
Check out issue 130 now, available in all good newsagents, WHSmith and branches of Tesco for £4.25.
