While updating backers on the lightning fast achievement for their Otaku No Video Kickstarter reaching its USD$40,000 goal in a matter of hours, Animeigo boss Robert Woodhead teased some information as to the company's next project on the crowdfunding platform. One of Animeigo's more famous OVA releases, Riding Bean has been a request of fans since the company launched their original Bubblegum Crisis campaign in 2013. A creation of famed manga author and anime character designer Kenichi Sonoda, Riding Bean introduced the character of Bean Bandit, a no questions asked driver for hire in 1980's Chicago working with ace gun fighter Rally Vincent. While the one shot video did not lead to further projects with the character, he did turn up in Sonoda's seminal manga Gunsmith Cats which featured a reimagined version of Rally as the main character.
