'Berserk' producer Reo Kurosu to be anime guest of honour at MCM Scotland Comic Con

Anime producer Reo Kurosu, whose work includes top titles such as Fullmetal Alchemist, The Heroic Legend of Arslan and the new Berserk adaptation, is to be anime guest of honour at September's MCM Scotland Comic Con. Kurosu will be presenting a panel on the Saturday of the Glasgow show, as well as meeting fans on both days of the event.

Reo Kurosu began his production career on the much-loved Fullmetal Alchemist series, and was an associate producer on 2011's feature-length Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos movie. While at Aniplex from 2004 to 2011, he also produced Studio Bones' dystopian sci-fi series No. 6, A-1 Pictures' popular comedy film Saint Young Men and collaborated with Cartoon Network on Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z.

Kurosu currently works at NBC Universal Entertainment Japan, where he has produced both swashbuckling fantasy adventure The Heroic Legend of Arslan and bloodthirsty new action drama Berserk, the second TV adaptation of Kentaro Miura's classic dark fantasy manga and sequel to the Golden Age Arc film trilogy.

The multi-talented Kurosu also works as a music producer for various anime series, with credits including Studio Bones mecha show Eureka Seven and the remix CD for the theatrical animation of Taiyo Matsumoto’s Tekkonkinkreet, directed by none other than Michael Arias, our anime guest of honour at May's MCM London Comic Con.
