Silent Manga​ Audition Round 9

Are you an aspiring manga artist? Do you want to get the attention of the manga industry? Well the Silent Manga Audition are running another manga competition. The clever twist is that you're not allowed to use dialogue, hence Silent Manga, this is clever as it makes it more international.

There are 3 themes for this round Fairness​​ /​​ Respect​​ / Teamwork. The​​ themes​​ are​​ chosen​​ to​​ encourage​ ​ creation​​ of​​ works​ ​ that​​ will​​ help​​ promote​ ​ the​ ​ spirit of​ ​ 2020​ ​ Tokyo​​ Olympics​​. The​​ deadline​ ​ is​​ 31st​​ of​ ​ March​ 2018. The top prize is 500,00 JPY (about $4,438 USD, €3,782 EUR, £3,396 GBP at the time of writing).

The largest international manga award announces its 9th round's theme.

Kichijoji, Tokyo, Japan 6th of October 2017 - Manga creator Tetsuo Hara, along with other legendary manga creators, seeks for new talents of MANGA (Japanese style comics) through SILENT MANGA AUDITION®, the global manga award with participants from 106 countries.

The ninth round (SMA9) begins on October 2017, with three themes : "Fairness / Respect /Teamwork" . The themes are chosen to encourage creation of works that will help promote the spirit of 2020 Tokyo Olympics ( Details TBC ). The deadline is 31st of March 2018.

The committee wishes all aspiring comic/manga creators to take part, in grabbing their fast-ticket to enter the manga industry. Organised by a Tokyo-based publisher specialising in manga production, with their own manga magazine circulating in Japan.

SMA has attracted over 4000 works from around the globe, with entries expected to increase in the coming years. SMA7 result announcements received over 300,000 page views in 3 days.
