Comic Expo Brighton, Hilton Metropole, 19-20 November 2005
If you are looking for something to sink your teeth into, don't miss this weekend's Comic Expo held at the Hilton Metropole, Brighton! This is one of the biggest events of the year for the comics industry, with over 90 exhibitors ranging from the top names in publishing and retail (Tokyopop, Panini, Letraset, Forbidden Planet International) through to the UK's leading manga-style comic collaborative, Sweatdrop Studios.
Sweatdrop Studios will be selling at this event in the Indie Press Section! Please take the opportunity to pick up some comics - they make great christmas presents - and have a friendly chat. Look out for titles from Sweatdrop's newest members such as Joanna Zhou's Cyber Crush (Winner of Student Children's Manga category at the International Manga and Anime Festival 2005), and recent publications like the instructional book Digital Manga Techniques by Hayden Scott-Baron.
There is plenty going on to keep you occupied - screenings, live music, special guests and lots of panels and workshops. Look out for other familiar faces too, such as Paul Gravett, and Futurequake!
