According to Mainichi Daily News, Comic-Book fans gathered last Thursday and Friday in front of Tokyo's Big Sight exhibition venue where Comic Market 69, Japan's largest comic convention started, spreading information on self-published comics, video games and related material.

The hit drama "Densha Otoko" and the "moe" boom marked by an attraction to anime-style characters fuelled interest in the event, and requests from reporters to cover it flooded in. It was estimated that 400,000 would attend and 24,000 comic circles were expected at the market, which was dubbed Comiket.
Fans of "Kido Senshi Gandamu Seed" (Mobile Suit Gundam Seed) group gathered on Thursday while other gatherings included followers of "Tenisu no Ouijsama" (Prince of Tennis) and "Naruto." Fan circles for "Final Fantasy" and other games were also seen at the market.
The Anime series that stood out at the event was "Gundam Seed" .This anime series finished in October but there were visitors forming long lines to join the fan circle.
