VIZ Media, LLC has announced a major accomplishment in manga sales. Volume 9 of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto’s best-selling manga published in North America by VIZ Media under their Shonen Jump imprint, placed at Number 29 on the Top 150 Best Seller List of USA Today on the week of February 26, 2006. It is, to date, the highest placement any manga title has ever achieved on the newspaper’s sales list, which compiles sales ratings for fiction, non-fiction, hardcover as well as paperbacks.
