The nice folks from J-Pop Go, have sent us their latest news, the last event raised over £200 for Ergi. They've also go a nice selection of events lined up in the future, J-Pop July is set to have a Magical Girls and Boy's theme (here's hoping for naked transformation sequences). We're really looking forward to Ninja's vs Pirates Night, since the battle has been going on for ever, although we all know that Ninja's have real ultimate power. October is set to be Halloween themed, and as you can imagine December is set to be J-Pop Ho-Ho-Ho with a Christmas theme.

Details as follows:
Thanks to all those that contributed to the J-Pop Go fundraiser at the last event for Mika Bomb's Ergi. We raised a total of £227.11 for Ergi so thanks to everyone who contributed, especially those that contributed prizes such as Terratag, ADV Films and the members of Mika Bomb themselves!
We also have pics from the last event up on the Gallery section!
Apologies to all those waiting on issue 3 of the J-Pop Go magazine. We're hoping to get the next issue out before the next event, which is scheduled for the end of June.
J-POP GO FUTURE EVENTS
There's a few changes planned for J-Pop Go, including a new diary of events throughout 2006. Here's the provisional schedule so far:
J-POP GO: MAGICAL GIRLS vs MAGICAL BOYS - 1st July
Exactly what it says on the tin - brush off your maho shojo outfits, especially if you're fans of Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, DNAngel and other genre titles. Expect heavy emphasis on bubblegum pop and anime themes!
J-POP GO: NINJAS vs PIRATES - TBC August
ARRRRR!!! The eternal struggle continues matey! Originally themed as NINJAS vs PILATES as we thought you lot could do with some excercise....
J-POP GO: HALLOWEEN - TBC October
oooOOOOOooooo It's going to be a spooky J-Pop Go as you'll be encouraged to dress up in appropriate scary costumes. Bonus points for xxxHOLiC cosplayers. All potential Sadakos must bring their own TV's (or well).
J-POP GO: CHRISTMAS - TBC December
Because we've got 101 more cheesy Christmas tunes than all the other Christmas parties - and they're by Japanese artists! ^_^
Dates and themes to be confirmed and are subject to change.
COSPLAY CAFE
Meanwhile, there's another event taking place at Cafe Manga - COSPLAY CAFE is scheduled for Sunday 23rd April and is being organised by J-Pop Go writer and event coordinator Emily Bastian.
The event will feature talks, workshop, quiz, anime screenings and a swap table. The event will also have prizes courtesy of TokyoToys.com!
Cosplay Cafe runs from 2pm to 5:30pm at Cafe Manga, London and entry is £2.50 or £1.50 for cosplayers.
There's a dedicated mailing list for the Cosplay Cafe here: pkcosplay@hotmail.co.uk
