Discotek Media Teases New Releases for 2021

After showing off their releases for the start of 2021, Discotek have announced the next batch of titles for 2021. Unlike their earlier announcement, these titles have no release dates or preorder link details.

The list includes older titles, OVA's, newer shows and standalone movies. They also gave an update on their future release of Project A-Ko on blu-ray.

Full Story

The young Arion is tricked by Hades and is taken to the underworld where he is trained to become a warrior strong enough to defeat even a god. Thrusted into a war among the Titan brothers, Arion embarks into a colossal saga towards the Olympus, home of Zeus.




There are still many mysterious creatures in this universe that we don't know about. On a distant planet, one mysterious species has come into existence. They are known as "Bananyas."



In spring, two girls meet: Mato and Yomi. They each sense something in the other that they lack in themselves, and are drawn to each other in spite of their contrasting personalities. Though initially hesitant, they form a strong connection. But they both have secrets - and in an empty world, two girls fight: Black Rock Shooter and Deadmaster. A strange being, Black Gold Saw, watches their mysterious battle, laughing. This is the story of two girls, in two worlds, entangled by the threads of fate.



Ryo Saeba is a "sweeper" know as the City Hunter. He and his sidekick Kaori Makimura are hired to solve problems that the police can't (or won't) handle. When he's not keeping the streets of Tokyo clean, Ryo is chasing the ladies, and Kaori chases after him with a giant anti-ecchi hammer.



In the year 1995, the Earth is conquered by the Akron, a space army from the Saar Cluster. Kento Tate and his friends are war orphans, and hide out in a cave. There, they find a secret base owned by Dr. Earl, an escapee of the conquered planet Helios, as well as his robot Daltanious, which strengthens when combined with the lion robot Belarios. Kento, revealed to be the descendant of an ancient Helios royal family, his friend Danji Hiragi, and Belarios now fight the Akron with Daltanious.



The survivors of Planet Baam and the Earth people want to sign a peace treaty, so General Lion and the renowned scientist Dr. Ryūzaki head out to have a reunion. But Lion dies in odd circumstances, his vengeful son Richter kills Dr. Ryūzaki-and war starts. Dr. Ryūzaki's son, young martial artist Kazuya, decides to defend Earth with Dr. Izumi's powerful robot: Tōshō Daimos...



Grimm Masterpiece Theatre was Japanese interpretations of the old Grimm's Fairy Tales. This series covers fairy tales that are well known to lesser known tales like "Puss 'N Boots", "Snow White", "Cinderella", and "Hansel and Gretel".



Shirahama Kenichi is an average student who has earned the nickname "Weak Legs" from always getting bullied. One day he meets a cute girl named Furinji Miu, who helps him build the courage to begin training at a mysterious dojo where she lives. Here Kenichi faces intense training from masters of many different martial arts styles as he attempts to become stronger.



Sana Kurata has a charmed life. Not only is her mother is a famous, award-winning writer, but she's the star of the hit TV comedy "Child's Toy" while still in the fifth grade. But Sana's biggest concern is Akito Hayama, a pint-sized hellion who's organized the boys in their grade-school class into a mass of unending noise and violence. With the help of Rei, her manager, chauffeur and "pimp," Sana is determined to win back control of the classroom from her new arch-enemy. But as her crusade continues, Sana moves further into Akito's life, and finds that he might not be entirely bad...or entirely safe.



Takashi Katori is a big fan of online games, and so is his American friend Sarah. However, one of their RPGs goes too far, as their virtual world and the Lezarion robot that Takashi created for the game somehow mix with reality. Takashi is caught, but later the Earth Governement discovers that an evil scientist from the Moon (now a sort of abandoned colony with restricted access) is hacking into virtual worlds and security, so they force Takashi to pilot the Lezarion and, with Sarah's help, fight evil and protect the Earth.



When Fujiko aquires and memorizes papers called the Columbus Files, she is attacked and loses her memory. Lupin, a treasure hunter named Rosaria, and the cackling villian Nazaroff all pursue Fujiko, as she is the only key to the location of Columbus' Egg, a treasure connected to the mysterious Orgone Energy.



Lupin steals an extraordinary gem from a Mediterranean party, only to be interrupted by Pycal, the trickster "magician" who had apparently died fighting Lupin early in his career. Pycal, now armed with real magical abilities, is determined to take revenge.



The continuing adventures of Lupin and his gang traveling the world, pulling off any kind of heist they can think of. While like before, Inspector Zenigata still pursues Lupin in everyway possible.



Shiratori Ryuushi is a young artist-in-training, about to start studying at a vocational school. Arriving at his new lodgings, Narutakisou, he finds himself the focus of attention for the collection of weirdos that inhabit the place. He also meets and falls for the landlady, Aoba Kozue, who seems to be both lovely and charming. However, Kozue is not what she seems to be... in fact, she's more.



A boy named Ikki Tenrio, using his Medabee, participates in Robattles; fights that square off robots, or 'Medabots', against eachother. Ikki must also stop the plans of the nefarious "RubberRobo Gang".



Memories consists of three dazzling stories, each delivered with its own astonishing style. "Magnetic Rose," based on a manga short by Katsuhiro Otomo, concerns two space travelers following a distress signal drawn into a magnificent world created by one woman's memories. In "Stink Bomb," a young chemist accidentally transforms himself into an unstoppable biological weapon set on a direct course for Tokyo. "Cannon Fodder" depicts a day in the life of a city whose entire purpose is the firing of cannons at an unknown enemy.
