It's just been announced that Hayao Miyazaki's Shuna's Journey will be getting an English language release. Alex Dudok de Wit revealed on Twitter that he is translating it. The 1983 graphic novel will be released by First Second Books on 1st November 2022.
Oscar winning anime director Hayao Miyazaki is best know for his feature films including Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service and Howl's Moving Castle.

Shuna's Journey is closer to Nausicaa in style. Alex Dudok de Wit explains that it's an emonogatari (illustrated story), with all-watercolour images and text mostly presented as captions. It's based around a Tibetan folk tale with a l pseudo-Central Asian setting.
The book will include the original afterward by Miyzaki, along with an introduction from Alex Dudok de Wit.
The translator himself is no stranger to Studio Ghibli's works, having written an excellent book about Grave of the Fireflies for BFI Film Classics.
