The story of Shinichi Kudō, a genius high school detective who takes on name "Conan Edogawa" when his body is shrunk down to child size after getting caught up with a mysterious criminal organisation, DETECTIVE CONAN has become one of Japan's most recognisable pop culture icons, with a multimedia franchise including an anime with over 1,100 episodes broadcast in over 40 countries, multiple record-breaking feature films, video games, and a recent partnership with the National Gallery in London for an exclusive merchandise campaign.

When a calling card belonging to the legendary Kid the Phantom Thief is found in a warehouse belonging to an illustrious family in Hokkaido, Conan's interest is piqued: why has a great thief well-known for his pursuit of precious gems set his eyes on swords dating back to the great Edo period? Meanwhile, the discovery of a body with a cross slashed across its chest leads to the "Merchant of Death", an arms dealer who has his eyes set on an even greater treasure.
