We've got a request from our chums asking for some help with Japanese charity and their Film Festival in the National Gallery, London.
They need help promoting the event and at the event itself. The kind of people they are looking to help appear to be our readership. ^_-
They want volunteers on or before 15th-17th April 2009.
Full Story
Details as follows:
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Do you love anime, manga and Japanese film?
Would you like to help a Japanese charity with their Film Festival at the National Gallery, London?
Are you free on or before 15-17 April 2009?
If so, you are just the person we need!
Japan Care for the Elderly is holding a Film Festival at the National Gallery from 15-17 April. You can see the full programme on the Gallery’s website:
http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/what/film/japanesefilmfestival/default.htm
JCE needs volunteers to distribute fliers and leaflets before the event. We need to get fliers into local libraries, language schools, comic shops, bookshops, in fact anywhere people who love Japanese film might go!
We also need volunteers to help at the event itself, answering questions, acting as room stewards and helping attendees. It would be helpful to speak a little Japanese, but most important is a responsible, cheerful attitude and an interest in making sure people enjoy the Festival. If you enjoy talking to people of all ages from many cultures, and you like to help others, you’ll enjoy working at the Festival.
We want to raise as much money as possible for the charity and so we won’t promise you any big rewards or goodie bags. You will receive a small contribution to your travel expenses for every day you volunteer. Alternatively you can choose to watch one of the films for every day you volunteer, providing there are still tickets available.
Interested? Then please email your name, address, age and a contact telephone number to the Volunteer Co-Ordinator, Mrs. Chika Savage, on
ticcuspop@hotmail.com
Please say whether you would like to volunteer for leaflet distribution beforehand, or at the Festival itself. If you want to volunteer for the Festival, please let us know which days you can be there.
THANK YOU!
