We've got some details from an Otaku News reader about Manga and Anime Art Exhibition in London, which will run from August to November 2008. The exhibition will be held at at Westminster Reference Library and St John's Wood Library. It's a great opportunity to exhibit work by new an established artists. Highlights include talks by Akemi Solloway on How Manga and Anime's costume is connected with Japanese traditional Culture, plus traditional Japanese dancing, music, and origami.

This is an opportunity to exhibit work by new and established artists, as well as experience live demonstrations of Japanese traditional and modern arts.
Westminster Reference Library: Thursday 28th August 18:00 – 20:00
- Talk by Paul Gravett: ‘Make Mine Manga! : How Japan Reinvented Comics’
- live music performance by Shamisen musician, coming specially from Japan
- Talk by Akemi Solloway, lecturer and daughter of an old samurai family:
‘How Manga and Anime's costume is connected with Japanese traditional Culture’
- Manga drawing workshop

- 18:00 – 19:00: Traditional Japanese dancing workshop
The Manga & Anime Art Exhibition is an official event of Japan-UK 150, celebrating one hundred and fifty years of friendship between our two countries.
