So, while Japan is really big for its live music, we are just planning to take it all one step further. We will be having a hot selection of bands on from 7 until 11pm, and then DJs until 3am. It's not a school night either, so there's even more reason to make it a large one!!
Expect Geishas, Animee, JPop & very good bands! Not to mention a big Japan theme!! Anything goes and make it crazy!!
Featuring Live Music From
Izo FitzRoy.
Expect to move your feet to their funked up soul sound. With a voice distinctly reminiscent of Janis Joplin, Izo charms audiences with her lyrical wit and sharp social observations. Her first gig was at Go North Festival in Aberdeen where she was hailed as "the blackest white girl in Scotland." Following an excellent performance at our Club Criminal January Weekender, we are delighted to have Izo and her band down at Harajuku! Not to be missed! http://www.myspace.com/izofitzroy
Sound Of The Nudge
The band which includes lead vocalist & guitarist Christopher Woodhouse, bassist Jim Cottrell and drummer Mark Palmer quickly got in the studio and laid down a demo. It was with this first recording that BBC 6 Music presenter Tom Robinson discovered their sound and immediately included them in his ?best on the web? selection. Tom added on air ?It's impossible not to get caught up by the sheer punk enthusiasm and swaggering Mark E Smith attitude of SOUND OF THE NUDGE - spearheading their own music movement - PUB STEP". http://www.myspace.com/soundofthenudge
Bleech
"A guitar and vocal marriage made in Nineties heaven, sisters Jennifer and Katherine strike up chords to echo The Breeders and Elastica's less angular moments. Joined by 100 mph drummer Matt Bick, the rock formation is complete, driving home some truly indelible melodies " BBC "I listen to this demo every day" - STEVE LAMACQ (Radio 1) "You are about to witness Rock History in the making!" - JOHN KENNEDY (XFM) http://www.myspace.com/bleech
