MCM Expo Retain Video Games Cosplay World Record

We've just been send the details from the folks behind the MCM Expo. They currently hold the Video Games Cosplay World Record with 376 cosplayers at the 23rd May 2009 London MCM Expo. They expected the record to beaten at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. However they managed to get 311 video games cosplayers. As a result they intend to raise the bar even higher at the next London MCM Expo this October 2009.

MCM Expo proves size is not everything when it comes to Guinness Video Games Cosplay World Record attempts.

Europe's largest gaming event Gamescom held at Cologne at the weekend attempted to break to world record currently held by London MCM Expo the UK's largest show.

With the vast numbers attending Gamescon it was widely viewed by many that it was a forgone conclusion that the record would be smashed. Unfortunately with the strict Guinness rules relating to qualifying costumes it proved an up hill battle. The final tally was 311, so the current record set at London MCM Expo May 23 rd 2009 stands at 376.
