Last weekend was all about the MCM London Comic Con, which ran from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th October 2014. The good folks running the event have just sent us details of the attendance, with over 110,000 people visiting. This is up from over 101,000 people in May 2014 and 88,000 in October 2013.
To take the increasing numbers into account the show as 12,000 square metres bigger than in May 2014.
The next MCM London Comic Con is scheduled for Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th May 2015.

MCM LONDON COMIC CON – EXCEL LONDON – 24-26 OCTOBER
Record numbers at MCM London Comic Con as attendance tops 110,000
Europe's biggest comic convention continues to shatter attendance records, with last weekend's MCM London Comic Con seeing more than 110,000 sci-fi, comic book, videogame and anime fans flocking to the bi-annual London event at the ExCel.
In total, 110,197 people came through the doors (24-26 October) compared to 101,600 at the last show in May and 88,000 in October 2013.
"We're delighted that so many people made the trip down to Comic Con this weekend," said MCM co-organiser Bryan Cooney. "The show was 12,000 m2 bigger than in May but we still needed every inch of it, with more movie, television, games, comics, anime and cosplay content on display than ever before - not to mention a great special guest line-up. We're not going to sit on our laurels, though; the next MCM London Comic Con will expand to run over three full days, giving comic con fans even more to enjoy."
Special guests at MCM London Comic Con included Daniel Radcliffe, Brian Blessed, Shinichiro Watanabe and Peter F. Hamilton, along with cast and crew from Teen Wolf, Salem, Power Rangers, Monsters: Dark Continent, The Strain, Under The Dome, The Hunger Games and Extraterrestrial. Meanwhile, top comic creators at the show included Dan Abnett, Mark Millar, Dave Gibbons, Kieron Gillen, John McCrea and Yishan Li.
"Comic Con also proved a Mecca for gamers, with Koei Tecmo, Bandai Namco, Warner Bros. Games, Capcom, Rising Star Games, NIS America, Sony, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Konami, 2K Games, Koch Media and Funstock all at the show, plus a special Pokémon stand, exciting indie developers and a roster of eSports tournaments run by our partners at ESL," added MCM co-organiser Paul Miley. "Our online video content continues to go from strength-to-strength as well, with Rooster Teeth, The Yogscast, The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and new series Morganville among those attending London Comic Con for the first time."
The next MCM London Comic Con will run over three full days, returning to ExCel London from 22-24 May 2015. We look forward to seeing you there.
