During the company's tenure management, the launch and distribution of the Pokemon franchise became a phenomenon in itself with sales exceeding 25 million units. The success of the series served as a testament to the foresight of the company and its licensing partners. Geneon Entertainment is a leading supplier of Japanese animation in the U.S., boasting an impressive library of titles that have been seen on large and small screens throughout North America.

Geneon Entertainment distributes many popular television series on home video including Heat Guy J, currently airing on the MTV networks, Last Exile, currently airing on TechTV, as well as Beyblade on ABC and Lupin The Third on Cartoon Network. Other TV-based properties include Cardcaptor Sakura, Mao-Chan, X, Sailor Moon and Someday's Dreamers.

On the theatrical front, Geneon Entertainment is credited with releasing a fully re-mastered version of the cult anime classic Akira in select digital and art house theaters throughout North America, as well as limited theatrical releases of Patlabor WXIII, Sakura Wars: The Movie and the live-action film Onmyoji, one of Japan's top grossing films.

The company licenses titles created by some of Japan's most popular and prestigious filmmakers including: GONZO (Last Exile, Vandread, Gate Keepers), Hayao Miyazaki (Panda! Go Panda! and Sherlock Hound), CLAMP (Cardcaptor Sakura, X, Chobits), Madhouse (Trigun, X, Patlabor WXIII) and GAINAX (Mahoromatic).

Teaming with many of Japan's top production companies, Geneon Entertainment serves as a creative partner in developing several anime favorites including Armitage Dual Matrix, Hellsing, Strawberry Eggs, SoulTaker and Fushigi Yuugi Eikoden. Catering to music fans and aficionados, Geneon Entertainment offers classic live performances by musical legends in the pop, rock, jazz, opera and country genres. From collaborations to single artists' performances, Geneon/Pioneer Entertainment has tremendous success in this category with top-selling releases including the definitive rockumentary on The Who, The Kids Are Alright, recently released as a two-disc deluxe edition and Paul Simon: Live At The Tower Theatre.

Geneon has also launched a line of anime soundtracks, the most comprehensive selection of anime music available in North America. With nearly two dozen soundtracks currently in the marketplace, title highlights include Utena, Lain, Neon Genesis Evangelion, .hack, Chobits, Hellsing, Mahoromatic and the ever-popular X TV series.

In addition, both USA Today and TV Guide selected the widely acclaimed Judy Garland DVD box set as a must-have DVD for any collection. The Geneon/Pioneer Classics collection offers some of the biggest names in the classical music and opera worlds. Classic operas at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City include live performances by Luciano Pavorotti, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras and Jessye Norman.
