Viz Cinema launched Eatrip a movie about Japanese food

Fans of Japanese cuisine and film in San Francisco will want to head over to the U.S. Premiere of Eatrip on Saturday April 10th 2010.

"Eatrip explores the interpersonal relationships that food nurtures. This documentary includes interviews with actor Tadanobu Asano, singer UA, tea master Sen Souoku, and many others. It takes you on a journey throughout Japan to look at how life can be led optimally through the daily ritual of eating. To eat is indeed to live. Life is just an "eating trip" (eatrip)."

San Francisco, CA, March 31, 2010 – VIZ Cinema and NEW PEOPLE are honored to welcome creative culinary visionary and film director Yuri Nomura for the U.S. premiere of Eatrip, her acclaimed documentary about eating and the personal relationships that people form with food. Nomura will attend the U.S. premiere of Eatrip at VIZ Cinema on April 10th as part of the 43rd annual Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco's Japantown.

Tickets are also available to attend a unique reception with food presentation and discussion to be hosted by Nomura the evening of the premiere. The event is presented in partnership with Sylvan Mishima Brackett, the owner of PEKO-PEKO and the former creative director of the world-renowned restaurant, Chez Panisse, in Berkeley, CA.
